During COVID-19:

See the "How can I get access to physical material from the Library collection during COVID-19?" FAQ.

During a normal semester:

Items with the status of "Available" in the Library Catalog may not be placed on hold. Library staff are unable to pull available books from the shelf and hold them for you. If the item is currently checked out, enrolled or employed Biola students, staff, and faculty may place a hold on the item. To place a hold on an item that is unavailable, first set up your library account. Then search for the item in the Library Catalog and click on "Request". When the item is returned, you will be notified, and the item will be held at the Information Desk.
